Nintendo Wii

Has anyone incorporated the Wii into their P.E. classes? I know we've talked about using DDR, and the different ways to incorporate that into our classes, but does anyone have any ideas for the Wii? Maybe, just the same way as DDR? Stations? The whole class? We have 2 classes in the gym at the same time, for the majority of our morning classes, so if you have any ideas on how to make sure everyone gets something out of using the Wii in class, your ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Tech. class this weekend

Does anyone know what the attire is for this Saturday's, 10.25.08, class?  I know we are presenting our technology papers, so I was wondering if we need to wear something particular.  Thanks for your help!  Happy Wednesday :)  

End-of-the-year-event

At inservice today, we discussed ideas about an end-of-the-year event.  One of the ideas we talked about was having a track and field day.  We want everyone to be included.  Does anyone have any ideas for fun activities, that includes all students?  

FitnessGram in the computer lab

After finishing our FitnessGram testing, this week we taking our students into the computer lab so they may record their FitnessGram results into their personal accounts. So far the kids seem to love doing this! They are able to see a graph that illustrates where they are in regards to the healthy zone. Once they print out their report, they are able to take that home and share it with their family. Being in the computer lab only takes about 15 minutes, so we are still able to come back to the gym and get some physical activity!

Fundraisers

This weekend our elementary school is hosting a car wash to help raise money for our building needs. Does anyone have any unique fundraiser ideas for a PE department?
