Adaptive PE
Today in our LSMD class, we were introduced to TGMD-2, a test of Gross Motor Development. This test lists a variety of skills. Examples of the locomotor skills test include: run, gallop, hop and leap. Examples of the Object control skills test, include: striking a stationary ball, stationary dribble, catch and kick. All the skills tested give listed materials, as well as directions to implement. There are also performance criteria to help accurately score an individual. I think this test is a good way to accurately determine which individuals need an adaptive program. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
